So, you bought some Bitcoin. For and investment, or a Protest?

"Thow doest protest too much". Is a phrase from old that pushed me into the world of Crypto. During the damnpemic, I saw how inflation ( due to government largess ) , fear, and overregulation was eating away at our store of value we call money. I believe our fiat form of money is not up to the attacks of bureaucrats and would inevitably fail. How long would this take? I do not know.

I bought some crypto currency in order to stave off the inevitable inflation that follows the unchecked printing of money and the unchecked spending of our money via the taking and wasteful spending of elected officials and unelected bureaucrats.
As I watched this damnpemic evolve, I saw government officials dictate to the unwashed ( citizens ) how , and when and where you would be able to earn a living. If your business did not fit neatly into a category of their choosing, you would not be able to work. You would then be forced into bankruptcy and poverty. You would become a ward of the state.
And, yet; the people making these decisions were being paid and paid overtime to make sure you did not work. Judges and inspectors, and officials were making bank and millions were forced into poverty under the claim of "follow the scientists". And who are these "scientists" working for. The people, or the government? And after all was said and done, the biggest result was a strong mistrust of anything said or done by our government.
In an article by FEE , this was particularly poignant.
In his classic work The Law, French economist Frédéric Bastiat explained how the modern state often commits the very evil it was designed to prevent “under the pretense of organization, regulation, [or] protection…”
"The law is the organization of the natural right of lawful defense,” Bastiat wrote, “…to do only what the individual forces have a natural and lawful right to do: to protect persons, liberties, and properties…to cause justice to reign over us all.”
Unfortunately, Bastiat noted, many use the law “in direct opposition to its own purpose.”
So, in protest and in my own defense, I am dipping my toes into this new world of Crypto Currency and finding out it is profitable, dangerous, and exciting. Beware if you want to follow me; and accept that fiat money will still exist, but at what cost? The same for your investment in crypto. What is the cost and what is the profit?
Please take time to educate yourself and don't just follow the recommendations of a neighbor or something you heard on the radio.
